The UltimateAir® 200DX RecoupAerator®
The RecoupAerator® leads the ai r filtration industry with the highest energy recovery, highest filtration at the lowest amount of energy used- two extremely important measures of performance.
The RecoupAerator® 200DX is a whole-house Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) that exchanges the stale air of a home with clean fresh air. It provides both ventilation with 96% heat recovery, and air filtration, capturing pollens and mold spores before fresh air is released into the home. This makes the RecoupAerator uniquely suited for asthmatics and allergy sufferers. The RecoupAerator® also removes the many contaminants created from inside the home.
Why Choose a RecoupAerator®?

The RecoupAerator® 200DX is the only whole house air filtration system that addresses every aspect of indoor air temperature, moisture, and pressure. By installing the RecoupAerator, homeowners take a proactive approach to control their indoor environment instead of leaving indoor air quality to chance.
The RecoupAerator® controls temperature and humidity in such a way that it keeps mold spores and dust mites from surviving and multiplying. It also features a wide variety of external indoor air quality control devices including EconoCool and frost prevention, making it the smartest unit                                                                  around.                                                                          Industry Leading Features
  • 96 percent heat recovery rate
  • MERV 12 filtration
  • Automatically balances air flow and pressure
  • Seperate Exhaust and ECM Fresh Air fans
  • Year round usage with a WarmFlo Defrost System
Additionally, the RecoupAerator® doesn’t require continuous mechanical tuning like other systems. If air flow is restricted by dirty filters or even a wasp nest– the RecoupAerator® automatically increases incoming and leaving air flow to ensure indoor air remains fresh and clean.
The RecoupAerator® has been successfully installed in all climates throughout the world with outstanding results.
Standard Features of the RecoupAerator®
The RecoupAerator® is the ONLY air filtration/ventilation system with All of these features:

Caring For Your RecoupAerator®

RecoupAerator® Maintenance Checklist
The following is a list of Recoupaerator® components which should be addressed regularly to ensure that your air filtration system continues to run at its highest level of performance.

Aluminum Pre-Filters: clean every 3-4 months if continuously operated, or every 6 months otherwise.
Heat Transfer Core Filter (“Pies”): check/soak to clean, and if necessary replace every 6 months.
Exterior Weather Caps: check for obstructions regularly.
Box Interior: light vacuuming recommended yearly.

Aluminum Pre-Filters
Aluminum pre-filters should be cleaned at least once every 6 months. Clean more frequently if necessary.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         To clean filters:

  • Disconnect the power to the RecoupAerator®.
  • Remove the Metal Filter Access cover.
  • Remove the two rectangular foam inserts.
  • Slide the aluminum pre-filters out, being careful not to bend the frames. There will be one long, and one short filter.
  • Check the filters for build-up and replace if clogged. All RecoupAerator filters may be soaked in warm soapy water then rinsed clean.
  • Dry pre-filters completely or reinsert and run the RecoupAerator to aid drying.

Postion the 2 rectangular foam inserts and install the Metal Cover.

Heat Transfer Core Filter (“Pies”)

The RecoupAerator’s patented Heat Exchange Wheel contains six removable core filtration “pies” that periodically need to be replaced. To check the core material:

  1. Disconnect power to the RecoupAerator®.
  2. Remove the Metal Filter Access cover.
  3. Remove the two rectangular foam inserts.
  4. Remove the aluminum pre-filter. Only the long pre-filter will need to be removed.
  5. If the heat exchange material is a medium gray or darker and less than two years old, it’s probably in need of cleaning. Pull out the exposed filter material “pies”, manually rotating the wheel to access the remaining wedges.
  6. Wash in a pale of warm water then gently squeezed to remove excess water.  Then lay filters flat until close to dry before reinserting. Running the RecoupAerator as soon as filters are reinserted will help them dry.  To avoid disruption of service you may want to have a spare set.
  7. Replace each filter wedge using the above process and replace one at a time.
  8. Rotate the wheel by hand making sure that the pieces are completely and evenly replaced so that none drag as the wheel rotates. Access the opposite side of the wheel to adjust the filter wedge position.
  9. Replace the aluminum pre-filter, foam inserts, and Metal Cover.
  10. Restore power to the unit.

             Exterior Weather Caps

Check periodically throughout the year to ensure that the fresh air inlet and stale air exhaust outlet duct ends do not become clogged with debris such as leaves, grass, snow, or bird nests. Debris can usually be wiped out with a dry cloth.

The WarmFlo Defrost System for the RecoupAerator® is a high-efficiency, cost-effective feature that allows the air filtration/ventilation system to function year round, and should be considered a required add-on for customers living in cold-weather states.

Many competing systems may not fully function, or function at all, when the weather drops to certain below freezing temperatures, preventing customers from receiving clean indoor air during certain times of the year. UltimateAir’s defrost system was designed to be able to incorporate WarmFlo so your whole house filtration and ventilation goes uninterrupted, no matter the outdoor climate.

WarmFlo works by warming incoming air before it reaches the RecoupAerator®, allowing it to pass safely through the system’s filter and into the home.

When to Use the WarmFlo
A WarmFlo installation is necessary in certain situations

Highly recommended in cold weather climates where temperatures drop to 10°F for extended periods of time. Visit the NOAA’s website for their Physical Sciences Division to get official climate information for the area you live in.
